What is Schema A

What is NBB Schema AUnder the law of 25th April 2014 on the legal status and supervision of credit institutions and stockbroking firms (Schema A Banking Law). Credit institutions, brokerage firms and various circulars of the National Bank of Belgium must send information to the National Bank that is related to the monthly financial situation. This set of information is called “Schema A”. This set of information is collected and checked by the National Bank.

Validation rules

The reporting of Schema A is subject to quality controls. The declaration must be checked by the reporting institutions prior to transmission to the National Bank for a series of validation rules that are exhaustively embedded in our software.
